Review: Ghetto Golf Newcastle

Every month our hard working team get a chance to get out of the office and socialise away from their desks. This follows our monthly Performance Review where we celebrate the month’s successes and continued team effort.

This month we took advantage of Newcastle’s newest night out, Ghetto Golf. Located in the vibrant Hoults Yard, this mini golf with a difference was the perfect setting for some summer socialising.

Set in an old warehouse, visitors are first transported to a buzzing atmosphere filled with graffiti, fairy lights and old school hip hop tunes. After trying some of the bar’s sig cocktails which included delights like Ghetto Island, It’s a Gin Ting and more, it’s then time to get onto a round of 18 hole mini golf like no other!

It goes without saying, this 18+ adults only experience had more than a few X Rated sections which we won’t go into here, but other highlights included a “Jesmond Kyle” TV studio, mini skate park and an up scaled claw crane to name a few. With walls covered in street art, each space is designed by artists and is built from ethically sourced materials, many of which have been recycled.

With full bar service available around the course it’s easy to take advantage of the party atmosphere created by the live DJ. As well as a full bar, Apocalypse Cow’s offering of BBQ street food in the venue left our mouths watering! While we didn’t get chance to try the Instagram worthy dirty fries, nachos and burgers, we headed to Brinkburn Brewery for some locally sourced dishes which did not disappoint.

We loved the chance to get out as a team and enjoy a laugh with this totally unique experience. If you’re looking for some company social inspiration, check out our blog post on Best places for company socials in Newcastle.
